Teletype Messenger Terms of Use

Version of 16 October 2026.

  1. Parties. The Teletype messenger (the web version at *.teletype.cloud and the apps; the "Service") is provided by Teletype LLC (INN 7729744709, OGRN 1137746560786). By starting to use the Service, you accept these terms; in the app, the sign-in screen says so. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

  2. Accounts. Accounts are created by the organization that uses the Service or by its administrator. You are responsible for what you do under your account and do not share your sign-in with other people. The organization's administrator may change or disable your account.

  3. Unacceptable behavior. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior. It is prohibited to post or send:

    • threats, harassment, insults, incitement to hatred and discrimination;
    • pornography, sexual material involving minors, scenes of violence;
    • spam, fraud, malware, hacking attempts;
    • other people's personal data without their consent, and material that infringes the rights of others or the law.
  4. Reports and blocking. In the iPhone app, you can report a message (long press → “Report”) or a person (their profile → “Report”) and block a person: their messages, direct messages and calls will no longer be shown in the app on that device. A report from the app goes to the organization's owners and administrators and to Teletype support. In other versions, you can report by email to support@teletype.cloud. We review reports within 24 hours. We and the organization's administrator may remove objectionable content and disable the offender.

  5. Your content. The rights to messages and files remain with you and your organization. We use them only to operate the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

  6. Account deletion. You can delete your account in the app: “You” → “Delete account”. The account is disabled immediately, and personal data is deleted within 30 days. Messages in shared channels remain with the organization.

  7. Service “as is”. We strive to keep the Service running without interruptions but do not guarantee it. We are not responsible for content posted by users.

  8. Changes. A new version is published on this page, with its date stated at the top. By continuing to use the Service, you accept the new version.

  9. Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of the Russian Federation.
